About Beth 

Beth Hachkowski, M.A., Registered Psychologist​

Owner  - Hachkowski Psychological Services 

 

Beth has been a Registered Psychologist (# 2521) with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) since 2000 and is a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA). She is a member of the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. 

 

Over 18 years she has worked in the following roles:

  • Nanny​

  • School Behaviour Aide

  • School-based consultant

  • School Psychologist

  • Child Protection Worker and Supervisor

  • Youth Residence Clinician

  • Mental Health Clinic Therapist and Supervisor 

  • Mental Health Clinic Acting Regional Manager.  

 

Utilizing her experiences and training, Beth currently has a part time private practice offering counselling and consultation services. In additon, Beth in collaboration with her husband, Aaron have developed an innovative in-home parent support program for at-risk families in Central Alberta.  This Family Intervention program has also supported other programs in Northern Alberta and British Columbia.  

 

Beth’s areas of speciality include parenting, (including adoption and foster parenting), aggression problems and challenging behaviours in children and adolescents.  

 

Beth uses the developmental framework of Dr. Gordon Neufeld as the theoretical foundation of her psychological practice.  Beth is a graduate of the Neufeld Institute Faculty program.  Dr. Neufeld is Vancouver-based Clinical Developmental Psychologist. Beth also utilizes the teachings of Dr. Brene Brown, Dr. Bruce Perry , Dr. John Gottman. Dr. Sue Johnson, and Dr. Aletha Solter, Dr. Karen Purvis in her practice.
